Jagannath University (JnU) admission circular for academic year 2020-21 is now open with online application time November 15 to 25, 2021.

Those who attended GST combined admission test for 2020-21 need to apply through the following link at :

http://admission.jnu.ac.bd

JnU Basic Admission Requirements :

Jagannath University Admission seekers need to meet the following basic requirements to be eligible for application :

  1. Appeared in the GST combined admission test for the year 2020-21.
  2. SSC or equivalent passing year 2017 or 2018.
  3. HSC or its equivalent passing year 2020.

Unit-wise Application Requirements :

Aspirants need to meet the following requirements to apply for their preferred units :

For ‘A’ Unit (Science Group) : Combined GPA (with optional subject) minimum 8.0 in SSC and HSC or their equivalent exams. However, minimum GPA must be 3.5 in either of the exam.

For this unit, students from the groups of Science, Madrasa (Science) and Vocational (HSC) can apply.

For ‘B’ Unit (Humanities Group) : Combined GPA (with optional subject) 7.0 in SSC and HSC or their equivalent exams. However, minimum GPA must be 3.0 in either of the exam.

For B unit, students from the groups of Humanities, Music, Home Economics, and Madrasa (General & Mujabbid) can apply.

For ‘C’ Unit (Business Group) : Combined GPA (with optional subject) minimum 7.5 in SSC and HSC or their equivalent exams. However, minimum GPA must be 3.0 in either of the exam.

For C unit, students from the groups of Business, Diploma in Business Studies, HSC (Business Management), and Diploma in Commerce can apply.

For Music & Fine Arts Departments : Combined GPA (with optional subject) 6.5 in SSC and HSC or their equivalent exams. However, minimum GPA must be 3.0 in either of the exam.

For the above two departments, students from all groups can apply.

For Theatre and Film & Television Departments : Combined GPA (with optional subject) minimum 7.0 in SSC and HSC or their equivalent exams. However, GPA must be minimum 3.0 in either of the exam. For these two departments, students from all groups are eligible to apply.

Revised Notice Regarding Merit List :

There has been a change in how to prepare merit list for admission. Students can see the change in the following image :

JnU Application Period :

For the units of ‘A, B & C’ and for the departments of Music, Fine Arts, Theatre and Film & Television, students can apply from 12 noon November 15 to 11:59 pm November 25.

Urgent Note : For the departments of Music, Fine Arts, Theatre and Film & Television, there will be Practical and Viva tests which are scheduled to take place at 10 am on December 3, 2021 at the respective departments.

JnU Honors Application Fee :

The fee for application is TK.600 (without service charge) for all the units and departments. Applicants can deposit the fee through any of the following means—bkash, SureCash, Rocket, Nagad or Teletalk.

JnU Merit List :

Finally, students will receive enrollment into their respective units or departments on the basis of merit list. The unit-wise merit list will be prepared on 200 marks in total—-100 marks from GST Combined admission test, 40% marks from SSC or its equivalent exam and 60% from HSC or its equivalent.

Note : GST Combined admission test involving 20 universities was held on October 17 (Unit A), October 24 (Unit B) and November 1 (Unit C).
