Applications are invited for the Generation Google Scholarship 2021 for Women in Computer Science and gaming. Female students interested in computer science are strongly encouraged to apply.
The deadline to apply for the scholarship is this December 4.
The scholarship is open only for those who are from Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.
The Generation Google Scholarship is established to help aspiring computer scientists excel in technology and become leaders in the field.
A group of undergraduate and graduate students will be chosen from the applicant pool, and scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of each candidate’s impact on diversity, demonstrated leadership and academic background.
Most importantly, scholarship recipients must be enrolled as full-time students for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Who can Apply : To be eligible to apply, applicants must :
1. Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a university for the 2020-21 academic year.
2. Intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program at an accredited university in Europe, Middle East or Africa for the 2021-2022 academic year
3. Be studying computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field.
4. Demonstrate a strong academic record.
5. Exemplify leadership and demonstrate a passion for improving representation of underrepresented groups in computer science and technology
Application Process : Applicants will be required to complete an online application which includes the following :
1. General background information (e.g. contact information and details about your current and intended universities).
2. Resume/CV.
3. Academic transcripts from your current and prior institutions (if you have earned a prior degree).
4. One letter of reference from a professor, instructor, adviser, or supervisor.
5. Responses to four short essay questions.
