At least four Pakistani nationals studying in China have been infected with the new coronavirus, confirms Islamabad January 29. The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr Zafar Mirza passed on this information to the media while addressing them on the matter.
While addressing the media, Dr. Mirza said that the four students had symptoms of coronavirus which were later confirmed after testing adding that the Pakistani government would be responsible for their complete medical treatment. Mirza said ‘We will take care of them the same way we would care for our own children.’

On the other hand, nearly 500 Bangladeshi students taking higher education in different higher educational institutions in Wuhan, the epicenter of the virus, have pleaded for help to their government to return to their home country safely. In line with their appeal, Bangladesh government has started registration process for the ones who are expressing wishes to get back to country. But their return is reportedly to take at least two weeks. So there has been an uncertainly and fear as to whether they would ultimately be able to return to the country safe and sound. Well, it is not known yet if anyone of them is already infected with the virus.
To mention, the latest death toll from 2019 new coronavirus, known as 2019-nCoV, has hit 132 Wednesday January 29 with the total cases of infection being 6065, according to Reuters. This deadly virus has so far reached to 17 countries outside of mainland China with Tibet, China’s autonomous region, today reporting its first case of infection.
