Popular USA business magazine Forbes has recently published 2020 list of the 400 richest persons in China. According to the latest ranking, Alibaba Group founder Jack Ma retains the top spot with an estimated net wealth of US $65.6 billion. Here’s the top ten wealthiest Chinese out of the 400 :

Jack Ma, 1st richest man :
Jack Ma, Founder & Executive Chairman of Alibaba Group, is the richest person in China with an estimated net wealth of US $65.6 billion, as per the Forbes Chinese rich list 2020.

Former English teacher Ma (56) cofounded the technology giant in 1999 which specializes in e-commerce, retail, internet and technology.

Of his education, Ma had Bachelor of Arts/Science degree from Hangzhou Teacher’s Institute in Zhejiang province.

Ma Huateng, 2nd richest man :
Ma Huateng is the second richest Chinese who has net wealth of US $55.2 billion.

Shenzhen University-graduate Ma Huateng (49) is popularly known as Pony Ma who is the Chairman and CEO of Internet Giant Tencent Holdings which ranks among the nation’s largest businesses by market cap.
Ma is a residence of Shenzhen, China.

Zhong Shanshan, 3rd richest :
Zhong Shanshan, a residence of Hangzhou, China, is the third richest person in China who has net wealth worth US $53.9 billion.

Zhong is the chairman of Nongfu Spring, a bottled water company. His source of income is beverages, pharmaceuticals.

To note, Zhong (66) dropped out of elementary school during China’s chaotic Cultural Revolution.

He later had jobs as a construction worker, a newspaper reporter and a beverage sales agent before starting his own business in 1996.

Sun Piaoyang, 4th richest :
Sun Piaoyang (62), founder of Jiangsu Hengrui Medicine, is the fourth richest person in China with a net wealth of US $35 billion. His major source of income is pharmaceuticals.

Sun has multiple degrees including Bachelor of Arts/Science from China Pharmaceutical University; and Doctorate degree from Nanjing University.

He is a residence of Lianyungang, Jiangsu.

He Xiangjian, 5th richest (jointly) :
He Xiangjian (78), founder of Midea Group Co. Ltd., is the 5th richest person in the country.

HE, a residence of Foshan, Guangdong province, has wealth worth of US $32.2 billion.

HE’s main earning source is Midea Group Co. Ltd. which is one of the world’s largest appliance makers.

Wang Wei, 5th richest (jointly):
Wang Wei (50), chairman of S. F. Holding, is jointly 5th richest person with wealth worth of US $32.2 billion.
S. F. Holding, also known as SF Express, is a package delivery service known as the ‘Fedex of China’.
A residence of Shenzhen, Wang’s majority wealth comes from package delivery business.

Colin Zheng Huang, 7th richest :
Colin Huang (40) is the chairman of online discounter Pinduoduo, one of China’s largest e-commerce sites.

Also called by Huang Zheng, Colin has got 7th standing in the Chinese billionaire circle with estimated wealth of US $30.6 billion.

A residence of Shanghai, Colin’s main income source is e-commerce.

Colin holds a Master’s degree from University of Wisconsin Madison,USA and a Bachelor of Arts/Science degree from Zhejiang University, China.

Yang Huiyan, 8th richest :
Yang Huiyan (39) is a Cypriot-Chinese billionaire businesswoman and property developer who is the majority shareholder of Country Garden Holdings, a real estate company.

She is the 8th richest woman in the country with net fortune of US $28.5 billion.

Yang owns 57% share of real estate developer Country Garden Holdings, a stake largely transferred to her by her father Yeung Kwok Keung in 2007.

A residence of Foshan, Guangdong, Yang holds a degree a Bachelor of Arts/Science degree from Ohio State University,USA.

Zhang Yiming, 9th richest :
Zhang Yiming (36) is the chair of Beijing ByteDance, one of China’s largest media content platforms.

With net wealth of US $27.7 billion, Zhang is the 9th wealthiest person in China.  A residence of Beijing, Zhang has Bachelor of Engineering from Nankai University.

Hui Ka Yan, 10th richest :
Chairman of Hong Kong-listed Evergrande Group, Hui Ka Yan (62) is the 10th richest person in the country with net wealth of $27.1 billion.

Hu, a residence of Shenzhen, has a Bachelor of Arts/Science degree from Wuhan University of Science & Technology.

To note, Evergrande Group is one of China’s biggest real estate developers.
