DUET (Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology) undergraduate admission circular for year 2023-2024 is expected soon. Online application process likely begins in mid-April, 2024.
DUET Undergraduate Admission Requirements :
Aspirants need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application :
- Must be Bangladeshi citizen.
- SSC/Dakhil or equivalent exam pass with minimum 50% marks or GPA min 3.0 including 4th subject out of scale 5 from any general education board/Technical Education Board/Madrasa Education Board.
- Diploma in Engineering/Architecture with average minimum 60 percent marks or GPA 3.0 out of 4.0 from Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB).
- Those who passed Diploma in Engineering/Architecture in 2022 and later year are only eligible to apply. However, those in-service for government/semi-government/autonomous agency or institutions do not fall under these rules.
- Any student can apply for multiple departments but separately.

Civil Engineering Dept. : Diploma in Civil Eng., Surveying, Construction Technology, Environmental and Civil (wood specialization).
Electrical & Electronic Engineering Dept. : Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Instrumentation & Process Control and Electro Medical Technology.
Mechanical Engineering Dept. : Diploma in Mechanical, Power, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechatronics, Ship Building, Marine and Mining & Mine Survey Technology.
Computer Science & Engineering Dept. : Diploma in Computer Science & Technology, Computer, Data Telecommunication & Networking, Graphics Design and Printing Technology.
Textile Engineering Dept. : Diploma in Textile, Jute and Garments & Pattern Making Technology.
Architecture Dept. : Diploma in Architecture and Architecture & Interior Design Technology.
Industrial & Production Engineering Dept. : Diploma in Mechanical, Instrumentation & Process Control, Automobile and Mechatronics Technology.
Chemical & Food Engineering Dept. : Diploma in Food, Chemical, Ceramic and Glass Technology.
Materials and Metallurgical Engineering Dept. : Diploma in Power, Refrigeration & Air-conditioning, Automobile, Ceramic, Glass, Ship Building, Marine and Mining & Mine Survey Technology.

Admission for Foreign Students :
Foreign students must apply through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Ministry of Education, Government of Bangladesh They are not allowed to apply online. However, they can get all admission related information on the following website :

Application Time :
As mentioned earlier, online application process begins from 10 am July 10. And the last date and time to apply is 4 pm August 3.
Application Fee :
The fee for application is Tk.1290 which applicants can pay by any of the following Mobile Banking Services—- Nagad, Rocket and bkash.
