DU (University of Dhaka) Technology Unit admission circular for academic year 2023-2024 is open with online application process beginning from March 21. And the deadline to apply is April 25 followed by admission test on May 18, 2024.

DU Technology unit allows students to enroll into government & private engineering colleges to do four year BSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Industrial & Production Engineering and Fashion Design & Apparel Engineering.
The Government and private engineering are under Engineering & Technology Faculty of the University of Dhaka.

The engineering colleges under the University of Dhaka are Mymensingh Engineering College, Faridpur Engineering College & Barishal Engineering College—-government engineering institutions—-and National Institute of Textile Engineering & Research (NITER), Savar; Dhaka Shyamoli Textile Engineering College, SAIC Institute of Management & Technology, Mirpur and K. M. Humayun Kabir Engineering College, Faridpur—private engineering colleges.

DU Technology Unit Application Requirements :
Aspirants need to meet the following qualities, among others, to be eligible for application :
- SSC or equivalent exam passing year in between 2018 to 2021.
- HSC or equivalent exam in Science/Agri-Science Group from any education board/ Bangladesh Open University or Alim pass from Madrasa Board in Science Group in 2023.
- SSC and HSC or their equivalent examinations’ combined CGPA must be minimum 6.5 with 4th (optional) subject. But CGPA must be min 3.0 in either of the exam. Besides, applicants must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in HSC or equivalent exam.

DU Technology Unit Application Fee :
The application fee is Tk. 850 which applicants can pay over a set period of time mentioned in the circular.

Admit Cards Download :
Candidates will be able to download their admit cards over a period of time which lasts up to 30 minutes before the start of the exam, which is applicable to all units including Technology Unit.
DU Technology Unit Admission Test Date :
DU Technology Unit first year BSc Engineering undergraduate program admission test is set to take place from 11 to 12:30 pm on May 18, 2024. The test venues will be in Dhaka city only. The test duration is one hour & thirty minutes only.
DU Technology Unit Admission Test Method :
DU Technology Unit admission test will be of 120 marks MCQ type questions involving Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. Of the marks, there are 35 marks each for Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and the rest 15 marks for English.
