DGFP (Directorate General of Family Planning) Media Award 2022 is now open with deadline to submit application 3 pm June 20. The awards will be provided in three categories—Investigative, Analysis and Success Stories–involving Bangladesh population, family planning, mother and child health and adolescent reproductive health.
DGFP is under the Medical Education And Family Welfare Division under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the government of Bangladesh.
The Directorate General of Family Planning authorities float the Family Planning media award every year as part of celebrations of World Population Day which is held on July 11 every year.
Media Award Participation Rules and Requirements :
Applicants fulfilling the following conditions and requirements, among others, are eligible to apply for the media award :
1. Reports published or broadcast in National/Local Dailies, Online news portals, TVs and Radios (both FMs and Community Radio) over the period of July 1, 2021 to June 15, 2022 covering population problems and development, family planning and mother & child health care in Bangladesh.
2. Mediums of reports, events and programs can be both English and Bengali.
3. Reports or programs made under government finance are not eligible for the award.
4. Each applicant can submit maximum three reports—Investigative, Analysis and Success Stories— for consideration for the awards.
5. Have to submit or provide mobile number, email address and names in application.
6. Every category has separate award for the winners, which is Tk. 50,000 per award.
7. Ten sets of each report, either in printed or CD format, must be submitted to the authority along with the application.
