DESCO (Dhaka Electric Supply Company Ltd) opens a circular to recruit people to some 130 posts including Assistant Engineer, Assistant Manager, Assistant Lineman etc. The deadline to apply is June 16, 2022.

This circular is republication (Amended) of the one that was issued on February 15, 2022. So those who applied against the earlier circular need not -re-apply against the same post already applied for.

DESCO Job Announcement In Details :

The 130 posts to which the Dhaka Electric Supply Company authority will make recruitment are the followings:

  1. Assistant Engineer (Technical, 67 posts) 2. Assistant Manager (Admin, 3 posts) 3. Assistant Manager (Finance, 4 posts) 4. Sub Assistant Engineer (Technical, 23 posts) 5. Junior Assistant Manager (Admin, 4 posts) 6. Junior Assistant Manager (Finance, 6 posts) 7. Sub-Station Attendant (7 posts) 8. Assistant Complaint Supervisor (2 posts) 9. Assistant Lineman (12 posts) 10. Special Guard (2 posts).

DESCO Job Requirements :

Job seekers need to meet the following qualities to be eligible for application against their chosen posts :

For Assistant Engineer (Technical) Post :

1. Having at least Graduation in Electrical & Electronics/Mechanical Engineering/Civil Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Science & Engineering/Electrical & Computer Engineering from any recognized university with CGPA 3.50 on a scale of 5.0 and CGPA 2.5 on a scale of 4.0. No third class/division or grade in academic career is acceptable.

2. Have to demonstrate strong participatory leadership ability.

3. Having strong communication skills in Bengali and English along with computer literacy.

For Assistant Manager (Admin) Post :

1. Having at least Master’s in HR/Management or any other relevant subject from any recognized university with CGPA 3.50 on a scale of 5.0 and CGPA 2.5 on a scale of 4.0. No third class/division or grade in academic career is acceptable.

2. Have to demonstrate strong participatory leadership ability.

3. Having strong communication skills in Bengali and English along with computer literacy.

For Assistant Manager (Admin) Post :

1. Having at least Master’s in Commerce/Finance/Accounting/MBS from any recognized university with CGPA 3.50 on a scale of 5.0 and CGPA 2.5 on a scale of 4.0. No third class/division or grade in academic career is acceptable.

2. Have to demonstrate strong participatory leadership ability.

3. Having strong communication skills in English, both oral and written, along with working experiences using computer.

For Sub-Assistant Engineer (Technical) Post :

1. Having at least Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial/Civil/Computer/Power Engineering or any Diploma in Engineering from any recognized university with CGPA 3.50 on a scale of 5.0 and CGPA 2.5 on a scale of 4.0. No third class/division or grade in academic career is acceptable.

2. Have to demonstrate strong participatory leadership ability.

3. Having strong communication skills in in Bengali and English, both oral and written, along with computer literacy.

For Junior Assistant Manager (Admin) Post :

1. Having at least graduation in HR/Management or any other relevant subject from any recognized university with CGPA 3.50 on a scale of 5.0 and CGPA 2.5 on a scale of 4.0. No third class/division or grade in academic career is acceptable.

2. Have to demonstrate strong participatory leadership ability.

3. Having strong communication skills in in Bengali and English, both oral and written, along with computer literacy.

For Junior Assistant Manager (Finance) Post :

1. Having at least graduation in Commerce/Finance/Accounting/MBA from any recognized university with CGPA 3.50 on a scale of 5.0 and CGPA 2.5 on a scale of 4.0. No third class/division or grade in academic career is acceptable.

2. Have to demonstrate strong participatory leadership ability.

3. Having strong communication skills in in Bengali and English, both oral and written, along with computer literacy.

General Job Conditions:

All applicants have to maintain the following requirements while applying for their preferred posts :

  1. Age limit is maximum 30 years as on May 24, 2022 which is applicable for all mentioned posts except Special Guard. For the post of Special Guard, it is maximum 40 years as on the same date. However, in case of son/daughter of Freedom Fighters, age limit is highest 32 years
  2. Age limit may receive relaxation up to 40 years for internal candidates.
  3. Candidates in service must apply through proper channel or way.

Application Fee :

The fee for application for the posts under serial number 1 to 6 is TK.1500 while it is TK. 1000 for the posts under serial number 7 to 10.
