Dental Admission Circular (First year BDS Course) for year 2023-2024 is open with admission test results out. Earlier, application period lasted from January 15 to February 3. And admission test took place on March 8, 2024.
As per the latest notice issued from Directorate General of Medical Education, successful candidates out of written test will have to complete admission process from March 20 to 27, 2024. For details, please see the admission notice available below.
This circular is applicable to first year BDS Course admission into all government and private dental colleges/medical college dental units in the country.

Dental Admission Test Results Reassessment Method :
Those unhappy with the dental admission test results can apply for reassessment from March 12 to 14 for a pay of Tk.1000. For details, please see the notice provided above.
Dental Admission 2024 Requirements :
Aspirants need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application :
1. GPA minimum 9.00 from SSC & HSC results combined.
2. SSC & HSC combined GPA minimum 8.00 for tribal and non-tribal Hill tracts candidates. However, GPA must be minimum 3.50 in either of the exam.
3. CGPA not less than 3.5 in any single public exam.
4. Biology grade must be min 4.00 in HSC/A-Level or equivalent exam, applicable to all types of candidates.
5. HSC/A-Level or equivalent level passing year in 2023 or 2022 and SSC/O-Level or equivalent level passing year must be in 2021 or 2020. Notably, aspirants must have passed SSC/O-Level or equivalent level within the previous two years of HSC/A-level passing year.
6. SSC/O-Level or equivalent level must be in science group as regular students and HSC/A-Level or equivalent in science group as well with Biology, Chemistry & Physics.

Application Period :
As mentioned above, online application process begins at 10 am January 15. And the last date and time to apply is 11:59 pm February 3, 2024.
Application Fee :
The application fee is Tk.1000 which applicants can pay by any Teletalk prepaid mobile number. The last date and time to deposit the fee is 11:59 pm on February 4, 2024.
Admit Card Download :
Applicants can download their Admit Cards over the period of February 25 to 27, 2024.
Dental Admission Test 2024 Dates :
Dental admission test for academic year 2023-24 is scheduled to take place on March 8, 2024. To this end, the seat plan will be out in due course of time.
Dental Admission Test Method :
Dental admission test constitutes of 100 marks MCQ Questions. Of the marks, 30 for Biology, 25 for Chemistry, 20 for Physics, 15 for English and 10 for General Knowledge (Bangladesh History & Liberation War).
Here note that every negative answer will carry 0.25 mark reduction. And the pass mark in the test is minimum 40.
