Applications are open for the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Scholarships for 2022-23 Intake to do post-graduate studies in the country. The last date to make application is August 31, 2021.
The scholarship are open to graduates or professionals from a long list of developing and newly industrialized countries including Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, the Maldives etc.
List of Eligible Countries For DAAD Scholarships :
DAAD Scholarships are on offer to do Development-Related Postgraduate Courses (EPOS) in higher educational institutions in Germany.
The scholarships offer foreign graduates with at least two years’ professional experience the chance to take a postgraduate or Master’s degree at a state or state-recognized German university. Besides, it also allows recipients, in exceptional cases, to take a doctoral degree and to obtain a university qualification (Master’s/PhD) in Germany.
Study Fields : Currently, Development-related Postgraduate Courses under the scholarships are offered in the following fields :
Economic Sciences/ Business Administration/ Political Economics, Development Cooperation, Engineering & Related Sciences, Mathematics, Regional & Urban Planning, Agricultural & Forest Sciences, Natural & Environmental Sciences, Medicine & Public Health, Social Sciences, Education & Law and Media Studies.
It should be noted that these degree courses range from minimum one year to two years of extensive study.
Eligibility : Aspirants need to demonstrate the following qualities to be eligible for application :
- Possession of a Bachelor degree (usually a four-year course) in an appropriate subject.
- Having at least two years of professional experience in related field.
- Candidates can prove their motivation is development-related and be expected to take on social responsibility and initiate and support processes of change in their personal and professional environment after their training or scholarship.
Application Process : Applications must be made maintaining the following steps :
Step 1: send complete application directly to the according postgraduate course.
Step 2: A selection committee suggests potential candidates for a DAAD scholarship.
Step 3: The suggested candidates then will be contacted by DAAD to upload their complete application to the DAAD Portal.
Step 4: The selection process will be finalized, and the suggested candidates will be informed accordingly.
Urgent : Please ensure that you have a copy of each document of your application ready, as those documents (as PDF files) have to be uploaded to the DAAD Portal in case you are suggested for a DAAD scholarship!
