The spike in novel coronavirus cases in the USA is going on non-stop as the country has logged another record daily increase of 63,900 in a single day on July 10, eclipsing the record rise of 63,247 just a day earlier. The record figure come at a time when at least 33 states in the country experienced high increase in new cases, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.
With that, the coronavirus cases in total in the USA has crossed 3.2 million mark. According to Johns Hopkins University, there are now at least 3,225,721 confirmed cases of the virus which is a quarter of the global total of more than 12.5 million cases. The death toll in the USA now stands at at least 134,349 to the latest, as per the University.
To note, the USA reported its first new coronavirus case on January 21 this year.

Globally, the second highest number of cases of the virus is now in Brazil where to date more than 1.8 million infections with at least 70k fatalities were reported. The country recorded 45,048 new cases with at least 1,214 related fatalities on July 10, as per the country’s health ministry.
