The final result of cadet college admission test 2021 is likely to be published on this April 16 instead of April 9, says a latest notice from the authority. According to the notice, the date has been rescheduled due to unavoidable circumstances.

Once published, one can see the final result at the following official portal :  http://www.cadetcollege.army.mil.bd.

According to an earlier notice from the authority, the result was expected to be out on April 9.

The written test for admission into grade 7 at 12 cadet colleges for academic year 2021 was held on January 29 this year. The written test result got published on March 5.

Subsequently, the next two phases of the admission process—Oral and Medical Tests—- was taken place from March 13 to 20. The timing was made available on the official website on March 8.

The result can also be found on the notice boards at the 12 cadet colleges.

Cadet College Admission Circular :

Cadet College Admission circular is usually published over the period of October to November in a year for admission of 7th grade students into Bangladesh’s 12 cadet colleges run by the Military.

As for instance, the admission process for session of 2021 began from November 22, 2020. The last date for application was January 10, 2021. And the written test was held on January 29 of the year.

Admission Test is held in both Bengali and English versions. But a student is allowed to take the exam in just one version.

Application Fee : The application fee for the year 2021 was Tk. 1500 only.

Application From E-booth Outlets : For the conveniences of applicants and their parents, application submission can be made from ‘E-booth Outlets’ also set up at every cadet college and Dhaka Army Stadium.

From any ‘E-booth Outlet’, application can be made for any exam center mentioned in the circular. Not only that, application fee too can be deposited from the booths.  All the ‘E-booth Outlets’ remain open every day except for Fridays and government holidays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. over a specific period.

Application Fee Payments : Application fee of tk.1500 can be deposited through any of the following means like bKash, Trust Bank, SSL Commerz (all kinds of Credit/Debit/Wallet), Nagad and DBBL (Rocket, Nexus Pay and DBBL Payment).

To note, payment must be made initially to get the username and password using which application can be finished within a specified time displayed on the screen of computer or other devices.

Eligibility : Interested students need to meet the following criteria among others to be eligible for application, among others : 

1. Being a citizen of Bangladesh.
2. Age maximum 13 years 6 months at a specified point of time.
3. Height at least 4 feet 8 inch for both boys & girls.
4. Grade 6 or its equivalent examination pass.
5. Being normal and natural in terms of physical and mental health.

Necessary Papers Submission : Candidates have to submit the following papers :

1. Attested mark sheet of Primary School Certificate (PSC) or Ebtedayee Examination. In case of English Medium, 5th grade or equivalent exam pass certificate from Headmaster or Headmistress of the institution.
2. Attested Birth Certificate.
3. Mark sheet of 6th grade or its equivalent examination.
4. Income certificate issued by due authority of Parents or Guardian.
5. National IDs and attested photocopy of Tax Identification Number (TIN) Certificates of parents or guardian.

Admit card collection : Students can make print-out or download their admit cards by making login of the relevant site with username and password over a specified of time.

Quota : To avail any quota benefits such as freedom fighter, Indigenous and Defense quota, students have to make application with supported papers through any ‘E-booth Outlets’ set up at every cadet college and Dhaka Army Stadium. Otherwise, these benefits are not entertained.

Special Instructions : Students and their guardians are usually asked to maintain the following instructions for their own interest :

1. Read the circular properly and carefully before filling up the application form.
2. Students or their guardians have to post all required papers to the cadet college responsible for the exam center mentioned on the applicant’s admit card within January 22 next year.
Preserve Password and Username : Applicants need to preserve their usernames and passwords they used to make applications as they are required to print or download their admit cards and change any information if needed on themselves later. So applicants have to preserve them.

Admission Exam Method : Cadet college admission test usually takes place in 3 phases.

First phase is written test which carries 300 marks in total including 100 marks each for Mathematics & English, 60 for Bangla and 40 marks for Science, BGS, ICT and General Knowledge. Written exam is followed by two other phases—Viva & Medical or Health Check-Ups.

The last two phases are conducted only on the successful candidates from the written exam. And the dates for Viva and Medical tests are made available upon the time of written test result publication.

Cadet College Admission Exam Syllabus : Look At The Syllabus According to the Subjects :

English : English syllabus are split into two parts—Grammar and Open Ended.

Grammar part includes Sentence, Parts of Speech, Gender, Number, Punctuation and use of capital letters, Tense, Subject and Predicate, Agreement of subject and Verb, Transformation of Sentences, Correct form of verbs, Contraction, Re-arrange jumbled words to make sentences, Spelling and Phrases & idioms.
Open Ended part has Paragraph writing, Story writing from given outline, Comprehension and Argumentative Essay.

Mathematics : This syllabus related to this subject include the following Natural Number and Fractions, Ratios and Percentages, Integers, Algebraic Expressions, Simple Equations, Basic concepts of Geometry, Practical Geometry, information & data and IQ related mathematics.

Science, BGS, ICT and General Knowledge : This combined subject includes History of Bangladesh Liberation War, Geographical features of Bangladesh and the world, Bangladesh Armed Forces, Current affairs of Bangladesh and the world, Cadet colleges of Bangladesh, Social and cultural affairs of Bangladesh, Games and Sports, General Science, Environment & Practical Science and Information & Communication Technology.

বাংলা : বাংলা বিষয়ের সিলেবাসে দুটি পার্ট থাকে। একটি ব্যাকরণ অপরটি নির্মিতি বা রচনারীতি।
ব্যাকরণ অংশে যা যা থাকে তা হলো :  ১. ভাষা ও বাংলা ভাষা, ধ্বনিতত্ত্ব, রূপতত্ত্ব, বাক্যতত্ত্ব, বাগর্থ।
২. শব্দ ও শব্দ পরিচয় : শব্দ, পদ, পদের শ্রেণিবিভাগ, পদ পরিবর্তন, বিপরীত শব্দ, দ্বিরুক্ত শব্দ ও সংখ্যাবাচক শব্দ।
৩. লিঙ্গ ৪. বচন ৫. ক্রিয়ার কাল : শ্রেণিবিভাগ ও প্রয়োগ ৬. কারক ৭. বাগধারা ৮. এককথায় প্রকাশ ও ৯. বিরাম চিহ্ন।

আর রচনারীতি অংশে যা থাকে তা হলো : ১. ভাব-সম্প্রসারণ ২. অনুচ্ছেদ লিখন/যুক্তিভিত্তিক অনুচ্ছেদ (১০-১৫ বাক্য) ৩. অনুধাবন এবং ৪. সারাংশ ও সারমর্ম।

Cadet Colleges In Bangladesh :  It should be noted that there are 12 cadet colleges in Bangladesh, 9 for boys and the rest 3 for girls.

The 3 girls cadet colleges are Mymensingh Girls Cadet College (established in 1983), Feni Girls Cadet College (established in 2006) and Joypurhat Girls Cadet College (established in 2006).

The 9 boys cadet colleges are Faujdarhat Cadet College, Jhenaidah Cadet College, Mirzapur Cadet College, Rajshahi Cadet College, Sylhet Cadet College, Rangpur Cadet College, Barishal Cadet College, Pabna Cadet College and Cumilla Cadet College.
