BSMRMU (Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University, Bangladesh) Admission circular for academic year 2022-23 is now open with deadline to apply being extended till March 30, 2023.

BSMRMU Subject List : 

There are five (5) subjects at the university under four faculties, in which students can enroll in Bachelor (honors) level for academic year 2022-23. The five subjects are BSc (honors) in Oceanography, BSc (honors) in Marine Fisheries, LLB (honors) in Maritime Law, BSc (honors) in Naval Architecture & Offshore Engineering and BBA in Port Management & Logistics.

The four faculties at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University, Bangladesh (BSMRMU,B) are 1. Faculty of Earth & Ocean Science 2. Faculty of Maritime Governance & Policy 3. Faculty of Engineering & Technology and 4. Faculty of Shipping Administration.

BSMRMU Application Requirements : 

Admission aspirants need to meet the following basic educational requirements :

1. SSC or equivalent exam pass in 2019 or 2020 and HSC or its equivalent exam in 2021 or 2022 with specified GPA mentioned later in this article.

BSMRMU Faculty-Wise Application Requirements : 

Aspiring students need to show the following basic educational requirements to be eligible for application : 

Faculty of Earth and Ocean Sciences :

For departments under Faculty of Earth and Ocean Sciences, candidates need to have GPA min 4.00 in both SSC or equivalent and HSC or its equivalent exams in Science Discipline. And of 5 subjects in HSC or equivalent—Mathematics, English, Biology, Physics, Chemistry—‘A’ Grade in any two subjects and min ‘B’ Grade in all other subjects.

Faculty of Engineering and Technology :

For departments under Faculty of Engineering & Technology, candidates need to have GPA min 4.00 in both SSC or equivalent and HSC or its equivalent exams in Science Discipline. And of 4 subjects in HSC or equivalent—Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry—‘A’ Grade in any two subjects and min ‘B’ Grade in all other subjects.

Faculty of Maritime Governance & Policy :

For admission into departments under this faculty, candidates need to have min GPA 3.5 in both HSC or equivalent and SSC or its equivalent examinations in any discipline—Science, Business and Humanities. They also need to hold min ‘B’ Grade in all subjects in any level of the exams.

Faculty of Shipping Administration :

For admission into departments under this faculty, candidates need to have min GPA 3.5 in both HSC or equivalent and SSC or its equivalent exams in any discipline—Science, Business and Humanities. They also need to hold min ‘B’ Grade in all subjects in any level of the exams.

Application Time :

Admit Card Collection :

Applicants can download their admission test admit cards from March 31 to April 7.

Admission Test Date : 

The first year bachelor honors admission test of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University Bangladesh for the year of 2022-23 is scheduled to take place on April 7 & 8. 

Admission Test Results :

The results is expected to be out on May 15, followed by admission process from May 21 to June 20.
