BSMMU (Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University) MPhil, MMEd, Diploma & MPH courses admission circular for July 2024 session is open with application period January 29 to February 22. Admission test is scheduled to take place on March 8, 2024.
As per the circular, successful candidates will be able to enroll into different disciplines of MPhil, MMEd, Diploma & MPH courses at the BSMMU and its affiliated medical colleges/institutes in the country.
BSMMU MPhil, MMEd, Diploma, MPH Courses Admission Requirements :
Requirements for MPhil-PSM Program :
Prospective candidates will have to meet the following conditions to be eligible for application for MPhil-PSM Courses :
- MBBS/BDS or equivalent degree recognized by the Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BMDC).
- One (1) year of internship certificate.
- Completed one year of service after internship on or before on June 30, 2024.
- BMDC permanent registration certificate remaining valid till December 31, 2024.
BSMMU MPhil-PSM Program Disciplines :
The courses are available in the following disciplines :
- Community Medicine (CM) 2. Community Nutrition (CN) 3. Epidemiology 4. Health Promotion and Health Education (HP & HE) 3. Health Service Management & Policy and 4. Hospital Management 5. Occupational & Environmental Health (OEH) 6. Reproductive & Child Health (RCH) and 7. Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD).
Notably, MPhil-PSM (Preventive & Social Medicine) program is under the Faculty of Preventive & Social Medicine (PSM).
BSMMU MPH Program Admission Requirements :
Aspirants will require to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application :
- Bachelor degree from any recognized medical institutes in Physiotherapy, Nursing & Health Technology with two years of experiences and in Ayurvedic/Unani/Homeopathy with one year internship & one year experiences.
BSMMU MPH program Disciplines :
The university offers the MPH courses in the following disciplines :
- Community Nutrition (CN) 2. Health Promotion and Health Education (HP & HE) 3. Health Service Management & Policy and 4. Hospital Management.
Common Requirements :
Aspirants’ age limit is maximum 45 years as on June 30, 2024. However, it is subject to relaxation up to 52 years only for BSMMU candidates and private candidates having Diploma degree.
Besides, those in government service must have one (1) year active service in the respective field after obtaining any post-graduate degree.
Notably, admission under quota is applicable only for Permanent Medical Officer/Research Assistant currently in service for Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.

Interested persons will require to apply in Prescribed Form which is available in the following website :
Application Fee & Payment Method :
The application fee is Tk.7,000 (non-refundable) which applicants can deposit with any online branch of Pubali Bank PLC in favor of ‘Admission & MISC Fund SND-0947102001731 Pubali Bank, Shahbag Branch, Dhaka’.
Notably, aspirants will have to pay the fee prior to application. So the fee payment period is from January 28 to February 20, 2024.
Admission Test Dates & Venue :
For MPhil, MMEd & Diploma courses, the test is set to take place on March 8 from 9:30 to 11 am. The exam venue is Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Convention Hall, BSMMU, Dhaka.
On the other hand, for MPhil PSM & MPH Programs, the test will take place on the same day from 3:30 pm to 5 pm and the venue Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka.

Admit Card Download Dates :
Candidates can download their written test admit cards from March 4. The last date & time to download & print admit cards is till 8:30 am. For admit cards download, candidates have to use their application number and password. Details seat plan will be available on the university website on March 4, 2024.
