USA seasoned Democrat politician Joe Biden and Indian origin Democrat Senator Kamala Harris each hold very high profile both in terms of personal and political life
They have been elected President and Vice President of the United States of America respectively in the Presidential Election held on November 3, 2020.
Joe Biden (full name Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.) is set to become 46th President of the United States of America, assuming office on January 20 next year.
Biden, a member of the Democratic Party, and his running mate Kamala Harris defeated incumbent President Donald Trump in the 2020 United States Presidential election held on November 3.
Earlier Biden was the 47th Vice-President of the country, served in the Obama Administration from 2008 to 2016.
On top of that, Biden was elected sixth times to the USA Senator for Delaware from 1973 to 2009.
Notably, he became the sixth-youngest senator in American history in 1972 at the age of just 29.
And now he has become the oldest person to be elected President in American election history at the age of 77. Besides, Biden was a longtime member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and eventually its chairman.
Here to note, Biden ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and again in 2008. He finally became the President in his third attempt.
Also to note, he is only the second non-incumbent vice president to become President-elect of the United States, besides President Richard Nixon in 1968.
Birth and Education : Joe Biden was born in 1942 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He is a law graduate from Syracuse University, New York. He also stepped onto the University of Delaware campus before moving to Syracuse University for further study.
Family : Biden is now married to Dr. Jill Biden (full name Jill Tracy Jacobs Biden), having three children now.. Hunter Biden, Ashley Biden, and Naomi Christina Biden. To note, this is Biden’s second marriage as his first wife Neilia Hunter died in a road accident in 1972 along with their one year old daughter Amy. So from the current family, Biden has just one child Ashley Biden, a daughter.

She will be 49th Vice President of the United States of America.
Born in Oakland, California, Kamala is also a Senator from the state since 2017. But as she is vice president-elect of the United States, her Senate seat will soon become vacant.
Under California law, Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom would have the sole power to appoint a replacement for Harris. That appointee would serve until 2022, when Harris’ term expires — at which point he or she would have to run for a full term in their own right.
Kamala Harris’s mother Shyamala Gopalan is a biologist and breast cancer specialist who had arrived in the USA from Tamil Nadu in India in 1958 as a 19-year-old graduate student in nutrition and endocrinology at the University of California, Berkeley. Gopalan received her PhD in 1964.
And her father Donald J. Harris is a Stanford University professor emeritus of economics, who arrived in the U.S. from British Jamaica in 1961 for graduate study at UC Berkeley, receiving a PhD in economics in 1966
Education : According to Wikipedia, Harris graduated from Howard University and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. She began her career in the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, before being recruited to the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office and later the City Attorney of San Francisco’s office.
In 2003, she was elected district attorney of San Francisco. She was elected Attorney General of California in 2010 and re-elected in 2014.
Family : She is married to Douglas Emhoff, an attorney since 2014. Harris is a stepmother to Emhoff’s two children from his previous marriage to the film producer Kerstin Emhoff. Harris’s sister, Maya Harris, is a lawyer and MSNBC political analyst.
To note, Douglas Emhoff (56) is becoming the first ‘second husband’ in the history of the USA as Kamala is the first female Vice-President in the USA.
