BRICM Research Fellowship 2022 : 67 Fellowship, Application Deadline July 26

BRICM (Bangladesh Reference Institute for Chemical Measurements) Research Fellowship 2022 invites applications from qualified individuals. The fellowship is on offer to do research in various fields. The deadline to apply is July 26, 2022.

Names of BRICM Fellowship with Corresponding Figure :

According to the news circular, BRICM will offer fellowship in four categories which are the followings with the corresponding numbers on offer :

A. Doctoral Fellowship (no. of fellowship 7) B. Post-Graduate Fellowship-1 (no. of fellowship 20) C. Post-Graduate Fellowship-2 (no. of fellowship 20) and D. Graduate Fellowship (no. of fellowship 20).

Monthly Fellowship Amount :

The amount of the fellowship varies from categories. For Doctoral Fellowship, the amount is Tk. 45,000 per month. For Post-Graduate Fellowship-1, the fellowship amount is Tk. 40k while it is Tk. 35k for Post-Graduate Fellowship-2. And for Graduate Fellowship, the amount is Tk. 30k monthly.

Aspirants need to demonstrate the following qualities to be eligible for application for the fellowships :

For Doctoral Fellowship :

Have got registered for PhD Degree. Age not exceeding 45 years as on July 26, 2021.

For Post-Graduate Fellowship-1 :

MPhil or MS Degree and at least 3 years of work/research experience. Age cap is not over 40 years as on July 26, 2021.

For Post-Graduate Fellowship-2 :

Master’s Degree (Thesis Group) and age limit is not over 35 years as on July 26, 2021.

For Graduate Fellowship :

BSc (honors) Degree and age limit not over 35 years as on July 26, 2021.

Following Description Is According to Earlier BRICM Circular (Issued on May 17, 2021) :

Names of Fellowship with Numbers : The institute will offer fellowship in four categories which are the followings :

a. Post-Doctoral Fellowship (no. of fellowship 3) b. Doctoral Fellowship (7) c. Post-Graduate Fellowship-1 (no. of fellowship 20) and d. Post-Graduate Fellowship-2 (no. of fellowship on offer 20)

Fellowship Amount Per Month : The amount of the fellowship varies from categories. For Post-Doctoral Fellowship, the amount is Tk. 55,000. But for foreign fellow, it is USD 700. For the category of Doctoral Fellowship, each fellow will receive Tk. 45k per month. For Post-Graduate Fellowship-1, the fellowship amount is Tk. 40k while it is Tk. 35k for Post-Graduate Fellowship-2.

Fellowship Period : Initially the duration for each fellowship will be six months to one year depending on the types of research activities. The time is likely to receive an extension pending on the assessment committee recommendation on research performance by the fellows. But in general, the total duration of the fellowship will be not over 4 years with possible extension time. For details, see the BRICM fellowship circular provided at the end of the article.

Interested individuals can collect fellowship application forms from the institute in person. Or one can download and print it from the website of the institute which is :
www.bricm.gov.bd.

Application Fee : For Post-Doctoral Fellowship, the fee (non-refundable) is Tk. 1000 and it is Tk. 500 for all other fellowship categories. The amount needs to be deposited as Pay-order or Bank Draft in favor of Director General, Bangladesh Reference Institute for Chemical Measurements.

Applicants need to submit the following documents along with application forms :

Three (3) copies of passport size fresh color attested photographs, attested copies of all educational certificates, attested copies of all academic exams’ mark-sheets and attested copy of National ID.
