Bangladesh Institute of Marine Technology Diploma Admission 2023 : Application Period May 16 To 22

BIMT (Bangladesh Institute of Marine Technology) four-year long Diploma in Engineering course admission circular for session 2021-22 is now open. Interested students can collect and submit admission form from May 16 to 22, 2023.

Interested students must apply in prescribe form which they can collect from the office of the institute from 9 am to 4 pm over the period except government holidays. The fee for application is TK.500 which they need to pay while collecting application form.

BIMT Diploma Engineering Admission Requirements:

Admission seekers need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application : 

1. HSC pass in science group in between 2018 to 2022 with GPA minimum 2.50 with Higher Mathematics.
2. For BSc In Engineering in Marine Technology course, applicants must have Marine Diesel Engine Artificer Course from the institute along with SSC. Besides, age should be not over 27 years.  
3. For BSc In Engineering in Shipbuilding Technology course, they need to have Ship Fabrication/Shipbuilding Welding/Shipbuilding & Mechanical Draftsmanship Course along with SSC from the institute. And age should be not exceed 27 years.

BIMT Diploma Engineering Results :

The results will be published on May 23, which candidates can see on the notice board of the institute. They can collect the results from the institute website (www.bimt.gov.bd) as well.

Admission Period :

Successful candidates can enroll into their respective institutes from May 24 to 25, 2023.

BIMT Diploma in Engineering Course :

At Bangladesh Institutes of Marine Technology, currently there are two Diploma in Engineering course : 

1. Diploma in Engineering in Marine Technology and 2. Diploma in Engineering in Shipbuilding Engineering. 

N.B : The two courses have 120 seats in total involving the six Institute of Marine Technology (IMTs) in Bangladesh now under the Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training. That means each institute has just 20 seats in total involving the two courses.

The six IMTs are the following : 

1. Institute of Marine Technology, Chandpur 2. Institute of Marine Technology, Faridpur 3. Institute of Marine Technology, Bagerhat 4. Institute of Marine Technology, Sirajganj 5. Institute of Marine Technology, Munshiganj and 6. Institute of Marine Technology, Narayanganj.
