Uniform University Admission Test In Bangladesh : All You Need To Know

At least 19 public universities in Bangladesh out of 39 have decided to adopt Uniform Admission Test method for enrolling students in the upcoming 2021-2022 academic session.

The 19 public universities are Jagannath University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Khulna University, Begum Rokeya University,Ranglur; Islamic University, Kustia; Haji Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, Noakhali Science and Technology University, Comilla University, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Jessore University of Science and Technology, Pabna University of Science and Technology, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University, University of Barishal, Rangamati Science and Technology University, Rabindra University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Sheikh Hasina University, and Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology University.

Uniform Admission Test Method Breakdown :
Requirements : SSC & HSC Combined CGPA : For Science Students : Min 7; For Humanities Students : Min 6 and For Business students : Min 6.5. But to note, anyone having CGPA below 3 in either exam will not be eligible for the test.
Discipline Change : No separate Test.
SSC & HSC Exam Results Consideration : To be taken by respective university. No bindings.
Second Time Test Taking Chance : Depends on individual university.
Test Marks & its Distribution : Test marks for each group is 100.
Marks Distribution for Humanities Group : Bangla 40, English 35 and ICT 25.
Marks Distribution for Business Group : Accounting 25, Management 25, Bangla 13, English 12 and ICT 25 Marks.
Marks Distribution For Science Group : Chemistry 20, Physics 20, English 10, Bangla 10. Besides, 20 marks each on any two subjects from ICT, Mathematics and Biology.

To note, each test has 100 questions with each question carrying 1 marks. And admission tests will be held at all 19 universities under the cluster.

On the other hand, like last year, seven agricultural universities will form a separate cluster to hold admission test.
Engineering Universities in the country like Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology, Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology and Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, in principle, decided to form another cluster.

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Bangladesh University of Textiles, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University, and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University have shown interest in joining this cluster.

However, University of Dhaka, Rajshahi University, Jahangirnagar University and Chattogram University will hold admission tests separately as earlier.
