BAPEX standing for Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company Ltd, is a subsidiary of Petrobangla which is a government-owned national oil company of Bangladesh. It explores, produces, transports, manages and sells oil, natural gas and other mineral resources.

The fee for application against different posts in the state owned company is Tk.560 (including service charge) which applicants need to pay by SMS from any Teletalk prepaid mobile number.

BAPEX Job Requirements :
Aspirants need to fulfill the following conditions to be eligible for application against their preferred posts:
For Assistant Manager (Geology) Post :
Having first class (CGPA 3.0) post-graduation or second class (CGPA 2.25) bachelor (honors) with second class (CGPA 2.25) post-graduation Or four year Bachelor Honors with at least second class (CGPA 2.25) in Geology/Geology and Mining/Geological Science.
For Assistant Manager (Geophysics) Post :
Having first class (CGPA 3.0) post-graduation or second class (CGPA 2.25) Bachelor (honors) with second class (CGPA 2.25) post-graduation Or four year Bachelor Honors degree with at least second class (CGPA 2.25) in Geophysics/Applied Physics/Physics or Geology.
And in case of applicants with Physics and Applied Physics, they must have at least Geology/Geo-Physics in one subject at Bachelor or Post-Graduation level while for applicants with Geology degree, they have to have at least Geophysics or Physics in at least one subject.
For Assistant Manager (Admin) Post :
Having first class (CGPA 3.0) post-graduation Or second class (CGPA 2.25) bachelor (honors) with at least second class (CGPA 2.25) post-graduation or equivalent degree Or four year Bachelor Honors with at least second class (CGPA 2.25) in any subjects.
For Assistant Officer (Admin) Post
Having post-graduation or equivalent degree Or at least second class (CGPA 2.25) bachelor (honors) in any subjects.
For Assistant Officer (Accounts & Finance) Post :
Having post-graduation or equivalent degree in Business related subjects Or at least second class (CGPA 2.25) bachelor (honors) in Business Group or subjects.

Age Requirements :
Applicants’ age needs to be in between 18 to 30 years as on July 14, 2022 which is applicable to all posts mentioned in the circular. However, in cases of applicants with relation to Freedom Fighters and the disabled, the age limit is 32 years as on the same date.

Papers To Submit During Viva Exam :
Selected candidates for viva or oral test need to submit or show the following papers or documents during the test :
1. All original certificates of qualifications and experiences (where applicable).
2. Nationality Certificate issued by Union Parishad Chairman/Municipality or City Corporation Mayor or Ward Councilor wherein the name of applicants’ native district is mentioned.
3. Demonstration of National Identity Card or Birth Certificate and submission of their attested copies.
4. Submission of filled up online application form (applicants’ copy).
5. Photocopies of all academic papers or records must be attested by first class gazetted officer, either government of autonomous institution.
6. In case of degrees obtained from foreign university, applicants must submit equivalent certificate issued from the University Grant Commission, Bangladesh.
7. In cases of job holders or on-service applicants, submission of approval letter from respective authority.
