Armed Forces Medical Institute (AFMI) Diploma Admission Circular for academic year 2023-24 is now open. Application process has been underway from March 19. The deadline to collect and submit application is April 19, 2023.
The two-year Diploma course is run under Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) in co-ordination with the AFMI.
According to the circular, the authority will take students for July session of the academic year 2023-24.
AFMI Diploma Course Requirements :
Any doctors who has passed MBBS/BDS or equivalent examinations from any recognized university and have permanent BMDC (Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council) certificate are eligible to apply for the course.
AFMI Diploma Course Subjects :
Medical Diploma Subject Fields :
Students from medical background will be able to do two-year Diploma course in the following subject fields :
Diploma in Anesthesiology, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Gynae & Obs, Child Health, Dermatology & Venereology and Clinical Pathology.
Dental Diploma Subject Fields :
Applicants with Dental degree can do the diploma in the following subject areas :
Diploma in Orthodontics, Prosthodontics, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Conservative Dentistry.

AFMI Diploma Course Application Process :
Interested persons can collect Application Forms from the institute over the period of March 19 to April 19, 2023 (except Fridays & Saturdays and other public holidays) upon payment of Tk.3000. All necessary information and guidelines regarding application are available in the form.
AFMI Diploma Course Student Selection Process :
Aspiring candidates need to go through the following selection process :
- First, they need to appear in an MCQ style written test which is scheduled to take place at 10 am on May 12, 2023.
- Information on venue for written test will be available on notice board of the institute two days ahead of the exam date.
- List of successful candidates from written test and date of viva test will be published on the institute notice board on May 15.
- List of finally selected candidates for the diploma course will be out at 2 pm on May 31 on the AFMI notice board. The final results will constitute total score of written and viva exams.
