Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) & five Army Medical College (AMC) first year MBBS admission process for year 2023-24 is open with admission test final results out now. Please check the results below.
Earlier admission test took place on February 16 from 10 am to 11 am preceded by online application process lasted from January 14 to 27, 2024.
Besides the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), there are five other Army Medical Colleges in the country run by the Bangladesh Army Welfare Trust.

AFMC Admission Requirements 2024 :
Aspirants need to meet the following basic requirements, among others, to be eligible for application :
1. SSC or equivalent exam passing year in 2020/2021 and HSC or equivalent exam in 2022/2023 with GPA combination of minimum 9.00.
2. SSC & HSC combined GPA minimum 8.00 for tribal and non-tribal Hill tracts candidates. However, GPA must be minimum 3.50 in either of the exam.
3. CGPA not less than 3.5 in any single public exam.
4. Biology grade must be min 4.00 in HSC/A-Level or equivalent exam, applicable to all types of candidates.
5. HSC/A-Level or equivalent level passing year in 2023 or 2022 and SSC/O-Level or equivalent level passing year must be in 2021 or 2020. Notably, aspirants must have passed SSC/O-Level or equivalent level within the previous two years of HSC/A-level passing year.
6. SSC/O-Level or equivalent level must be in science group as regular students and HSC/A-Level or equivalent in science group as well with Biology, Chemistry & Physics.
7. Those who passed SSC/O-Level or equivalent exam before the year 2020 is not eligible for application.

As mentioned above, online application process begins from 11 am on January 14. The last date and time to apply is 11:59 pm January 27, 2024.
Application Fee :
The application fee is Tk.1000 which applicants need to pay by SMS through any Teletalk prepaid mobile number. The last date and time to pay the fee is within 24 hours since application submission deadline.

AFMC Admission Test 2024 Format :
Armed Forces Medical College MBBS admission test usually consists of 300 marks in total. Of the marks, 75 comes from SSC or equivalent exam results, 125 from HSC or equivalent exam GPA and the rest 100 marks from MCQ type written test.
Notably, there is 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer. And the minimum pass mark is 40 out of 100.
MCQ Test Marks Breakdown :
100 marks MCQ test consists of 30 each from Physics, Chemistry & Biology, 5 each from English and General Knowledge (History of Bangladesh and Independence War).
