Application for the Asian Development Bank – Japan Scholarship Program (ADB – JSP) at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, is now open. The aim of the scholarship, established in April 1988 with financing from the Japanese government, is to provide an opportunity for well-qualified citizens of ADB’s developing member countries to undertake postgraduate studies at participating academic institutions in the Asia-Pacific region. The last date to apply for the scholarship is this July 19.
University of Auckland programs covered by this scholarship scheme are limited to the following fields like Master of Public Health, Master of Science (Environmental Science), Master of Arts (Development Studies), Master of International Business and Masters programs in Engineering.

The program (ADB–JSP) offers about 140 postgraduate scholarships a year for studies in above fields. The scholarship benefits include full tuition fees, a monthly allowance for expenses, housing, books and instructional materials, medical insurance and travel. For scholars engaged in research, a special grant may be available for thesis preparation. In special circumstances, computer literacy, preparatory language and other similar courses may be covered under the scholarship.
