20 University Admission 2021 : Application Time & Requirements Revised

Application time and requirements for admission for the year 2020-2021 into twenty public universities under a single cluster have been revised given the deteriorating Covid-19 situation in the country.
According to a fresh circular from the authority, aspiring students will now be able to make primary application from April 16 till 30 the same, 2021. This timing is applicable for all units –A, B and C.
As per the earlier circular, the last date to make application was April 15.
On the other hand, primary application requirements for ‘B’ (Humanities) and ‘C’ Units (Business Studies) have been revised down.

Revised Requirements for ‘B’ and ‘C’ Units’ Primary Application :
For ‘B’ Unit (Humanities), SSC and HSC or their equivalent exams combined GPA must be minimum 6.0 with minimum GPA 3.0 (including 4th subject) in either of the exams in Humanities Group.
For ‘C’ Unit (Business) : SSC and HSC or their equivalent exams combined GPA must be minimum 6.5 with minimum GPA 3.0 (including 4th subject) in either of the exams in Business Studies Group.
Urgent Note : Those fulfilling the above requirements for primary application into ‘B’ and ‘C’ Units, will be able to make applications from 10 a.m. April 21 to April 30, 2021.
To note, Diploma in Business Studies, Business Management (HSC) and Diploma in Commerce including Business Studies degree (HSC) from General Education Board will be regarded as Business Group.
For ‘A’ Unit (Science), the requirements for primary application have remained unchanged. That means applicants have to follow the previous circular while making application for this unit.

Application Fee : Applicants will not require to pay any fees for initial application. But those to be selected finally for final admission test will need to pay Tk.500 as fee later when applying finally.
Unit-wise Final Test Schedule : First year honors admission test for academic session 2020-2021 of 20 universities, both General, Science and Technical ones, will take place under three units—- unit A for Science Group, Unit-B for Humanities Group and Unit-C for Business Group.
Unit-A test is scheduled to be held on June 19, Unit-B on June 26 and test for Unit-C on July 3.
Application Requirements (according to initial or old circular) : Aspirants need to meet the following conditions to be eligible for application :
- For science group students, SSC and HSC combined GPA must be min 8.0.
- For Humanities Group students, combined GPA needs to be min 7.0. (revised).
- And for Business Group students, minimum combined GPA needs to be 7.5. (revised).
- For all group, GPA in HSC and SSC or their equivalent exams separately must be min 3.50 with optional subjects.
- SSC or equivalent exam passing year 2017 or 2018 and that for HSC or its equivalent exams must be 2019 or 2020.
